Yes, I agree with Mike, just looked at the same and it is triggered on but check with other posts as it seems GA and FL are having problems. They said FL is triggered on but it does not appear to be by USDL.

I claimed my last week for TIER 2, only it wouldn't let me do it online, I had to do it by phone. After all done, it said check will be sent out, I have 0 balance and no extensions???? Yet others received letters in the mail that they qualify for EB before the TIER 2 expired.

Taurus, There def was a letter sent out to people who potentially qualified for EB lbut ike I mentioned to you in another post, there is always that chance that yours just got lost in the mail. Based on what others have said, a few days after filing for your last tier II check, you should get a packet of some sort in the mail for EB. If you have not gotten that, I would definitely go right over to the unemployment office and inquire there. There is a chance that there was just a glitch in the system. It wouldnt be the first time they made mistakes with thier automated system. Until they tell you in person that you dont qualify, you should stay on top of it. keep us posted here and let us know how you make out.

Hi guys,
My 26 weeks of UI just ran out and I'm starting tier 1. Problem is, there was only 11 dollars left in my "bank" for regular unemployment, and when my extended kicked in, it started on a new week, leaving me with only 11 dollars for the previous week. Has anyone ran into this problem, and is there any solution? Any input would be appreciated.

Wonderful NJ website//Please help
Hello all! I just found this website today and this is my 1st post. This site is wonderful. Thank you for all the great info! I learned so much!
Here is my situation, similar to what the last few pages have stated, yet alittle different. I could use all your help and knowledge. Thanks.
My original NJ claim: Jan 2008. After I placed 4 Telephone calls (TCs) I got 26 wks. Then nothing. No notice, no checks. Then, 1 month later got 13 wks. Then nothing. No notice, no checks. Then I got 7 wks which went into 2009.
At that point,(1 yr) I was filling but got the "Non-Negotiable" bottoms with NO checks. I waited and waited. When I called 1 month later, I got fairly nice people who gave me much run-around. No one ever said my 1 year was up and this was a new claim, or needed to be opened as a new claim. Never head these words. This would turn into a 2-month TC affair, with me doing the calling, approximately 12-14 calls in all! I was basically told no $$ left for me, then I did not make enough (even though over $20k and good enough for 1 yr UCI), then I was told I would be called by "determination department" regarding how much $$. No one ever called. I called to complain and again I was given a day/time to sit by my phone and wait. No one ever called. I called back and complained and was told a 3rd time someone would call. I even received paperwork this time stating such. No one called. However, the day the 3rd call never came, something better did!! 3 checks (six wks worth!)!!
So here are my questions:
1) according to the blue form, I calculated that I will receive 20 wks. Why not 26, like original claim? Is this a new claim? It does have a different date of claim (March 2009) at the top.
2) If a new claim, will I get Tier 1 and Tier 2? If so how long? 13 or 20 wks?
3) After T1 and T2, will I be eligible for the yellow form EB extension? This sounds like a hassle, even though I am searching for a job. It seems NJ is getting tired of helping us, the people who are taxed-near-to-death and seek to make it hard on us, maybe making us want to reject this EB to save them money! The state govt forgets that we, the people, ARE the government!
Sorry to sound so dumb and be so long-winded, and I look forward to your answers. I really do not want to call them again! I NEVER got through in less than 2 hrs waiting on the phone and I sometimes got hung up on after waiting (before speaking; someone would pick up and then just hang up). Again, thanks.

JN in NJ, first, this forum is just to give opinions and advice about collecting unemployment in NJ. we do not have specific answers. You have no choice but to deal with NJ unemployment if you have particular problems. there is no alternative but to continue contacting them with you questions/concerns.
This specific forum is about people who are on EB level benefits ( after using up tier 1 and tier 2 ) or are about to start EB.
your issues are very specific and we cannot answer them. One thing is for sure, unless you worked at all after receiving your origional claim of 26 weeks, you should not be filing a new claim. unemployment just activates it to continue if you qualify for extensions. a new claim is completely different thing. you need to speak to somebody there. noone here is going to be able to solve your situation which seems a bit complicated. we just give info on our experiences here. we do not have specific answers to specific claims. There is absolutely no way for anyone here to know what you actually qualify for since each claim can be unique. you have to talk to the dept of unemployment.

I`ve been going crazy this week, trying to figure out why I got this "not payable at this time" message when I filed my unemployemnt claim. I have never missed an appointment or a call. I did not quit mym job or get fired for "misconduct" I have done all things unemployment has required of me.
I've been on search engines for the last 48 hours and I think I finally found an answer. Unfortunately it is an answer, but not a solution nor does it tell when this situation will be rectified.
Here is the link I found. It seems that there is a backlog and NJ does not have enough staff to process all of the unemployment claims. They are in the process of hiring/training ppl now (why couldn't they hire and train me? lol) Corzine OKs More Staff to Process Unemployment Claim Backlog - Cape May County Herald
Hope this helps
