Hi
I am researching on what part of NJ I should move to that have good school districts for my kids (ages 8 and 5). I am also looking at renting a two bedroom apt in a nice area. Hopefully I will be attending to Rutgers Newark campus in the fall. We are currently living in the Bronx. The other option is to commute from the Bronx to Newark. Any suggestions. My budget $1000.

Rutgers Newark is great. I went there and New Brunswick and felt the education I got in Newark was far better. Best of luck to you and enjoy it.

Do you have a car or will you be using public transportation? How long of a commute is acceptable for you?

$1000/month is a tight budget for NJ in an area with "good" schools.

Thanks for the advice about Rutgers Newark Campus. I am looking forward to it.I do not have a car right now but I am willing take a commute by Public Transportation. As long as I live in a good affordable area with a good school district.

I have been researching. I heard Fort Lee is good. After seeing a lot of the apartments, I am thinking about increasing my budget to maybe 1300.
Thanks Everybody
