I can't choose out of the 6, because each town is uniquely different in some ways. *scratches head* (Edit: And why 6 towns?)

Although, the town with the best downtown is definitely Ridgewood! Followed by Teaneck, and then, I like Edgewater for being very literal with their name.

I wouldn't say Paramus at all. Shopping is one thing, living is another. And Ridgewood is lovely, but honestly, I prefer Oradell and Hillsdale to Ridgewood. You have SOME downtown, you have trains, but it's not as BIG and bustling of a downtown as Ridgewood. The schools are good in all towns and taxes tend to be absurd in Ridgewood (although the others will not be prizes either...)

I also agree if we can go "off" your list Wyckoff is very nice as well.

I rep Fort Lee

It is a really cool town, great blend of urban and suburban, best access to NYC, it is the most Jersey-type town out of all the towns listed

How is Fort Lee the most Jersey-type town of those listed? All the towns by me are way different than Fort Lee (I live next to Hillsdale and Ridgewood, 10 minutes from Oradell). I like those much better and find they are very Jersey-like.

And DEFINITELY not Paramus.

Ridgewood and hillsdale in the northern hinterlands of the berg, and you know how everyone on this forum feels about that area

Actually you are right, but it used to be not that long ago
