Default Seek suggestion: Penske truck rental

Hi,

We are moving from Kearny to Scotch Plains on Saturday, and planning to rent a truck. I have got the quotes from U-Haul, Budget, and Penske. So far, Penske is the cheapest (its price includes free, unlimited mileage, because we also need to pick up some new furniture from a furniture store in Jersey city).

Does anyone have experience with Penske? How is its service, safety, etc?

Any truck rental suggestion would be more than welcome and highly appreciated!

There was a really big thread in the moving forum going for a while over which rental truck company was the best - if I remember correctly, Penske came out on top.

Here it is:

I've used Penke twice, both times I had no problems.

And as an extra perk, you can go around all day on moving day quoting Seinfeld ("the Penske file!").

Penske all the way..hands down. They have the newest trucks. Used them several times, no issues. U-Haul has older trucks--only decent for local traveling.

I used to use Uhaul all the time. Now its Penske or nothing. The daily rate is usually MUCH higher but once you figure in mileage and insurance and everythintg else they are usually cheaper. Ive used them 6 times now and I always get a new-ish looking very clean truck with little to no damage. From uhaul there were time I was scared the thing would break down on me going around the corner.
