Commute from Watchung to NY Penn (Plainfield, Scotch Plains: daycare, buy, live in)

I am looking for advice on options to commute to NY Penn from Watchung..we are looking to move into Crystal Ridge Club...also am looking for good daycare in the area..your input is much appreciated..thanks in advance to all !!!

You could either:

a) Take the train from Netherwood Station in Plainfield
b) Take the train from Fanwood Station, or
c) Take the bus. There are stops on Mountain Avenue (North Plainfield, across Route 22 from Crystal Ridge Club) and also on various streets in Fanwood.

thanks for the options..regarding the train options, do you know what the parking situation is in those towns?

I live in the City so I only occasionally use those stations to visit family that lives only a few minutes from the Crystal Ridge Club. At least in Fanwood I believe you can either buy a monthly parking pass or pay by the day to park. The lot is not very large, so I would call the town and ask about the parking situation. Hopefully someone on here that lives in Fanwood/Scotch Plains and uses that station will chime in.
