Nicotine addiction is acceptable, alcoholism, drug addiction and obesity are not.

Default Just bought cigs

I bought 2 packs on Tuesday, they were $7.08/pack. Today I bought two sets of the special 2pack price, and it came to $21.02 for 4 packs total. It used to be only $12.96 when buying 4 packs at the "special" price. I think this is outrageous! And the prices will continue to get higher?!?!?!?

My mother, I was skeptical about. She'd tried EVERYTHING - like you, multiple times (I remember her trying to quit for about 12 years). She's not really into all the "hippie" things. She finally caved and went to get hypnotized. This was last February (2008) - and she's been really good since then. The man that performed the hypnosis even gave her a tape to listen to, if she felt any urges to smoke.

She said you really have to WANT to quit. She was tired of the cost, the smell and getting sick (hands constantly around the mouth/nose), and her chest had begun to hurt pretty badly. I'm incredibly proud of her, and really recommend it to whoever wants to quit, and has tried everything else.

Good luck!
That's great to hear...A success story.

I really do want to quit. I'm tired of it altogether, everything about it. I'd love it if they could hypnotize you so that you don't remember that you ever did smoke. That would be the way to go.

I'm going to do hypnosis and can't wait to. The hypnotist is at the local college in May, so as soon as I get the registration paper in the mail, I'm sending it in.

Yes, that would be great if they could do it for other things, as well!

I know you'll do fine! Let me know how it goes, I'm curious.

As of April 1st, there's a $1.01 tax on a pack of cigarettes. I smoke Marlboro and have noticed I'm receiving more coupons from the manufacturer.
