I-80? I guess in PA. When we used to live in Queens, I would drive out to exit 64 on LIE, there are a couple of stores that sell cigs for half the regular store price.
The only one I know of is in Upstate NY. It's about an hour beyond the Pa./NY border.

I would quit considering that she has that. I won't go into the gory details of enphyysema. I'll just say its not a pretty picture. I had a friend that had that, Other friends have quit because of her.I miss my friend.

Please, please, please do not buy cigs online and use a credit card. When I worked for the Division of Taxation, we were sending out bills as high as $10,000 for taxes on cigs that a lot of people were buying for themselves as well as others. One woman cried on the phone because she got a bill for $6,000+, and said she was buying for her family and the whole department at work. But guess who gets to pay the tax? Her. THEY WILL TRACK YOU DOWN and send you a bill. It doesn't matter if it's an Indian Reservation or not. You will get a bill. I have a friend right now who thought she was home free because it was an Indian Reservation and she just got smacked with a $3,000 bill.

Forewarned is forearmed.

This seems to being done by a lot of States who let the "tax free" cigarettes slip by.

And now that the economy is such a wreck, you can count on all States going agressively after these taxes.

Too true! Gambling, marijuana - as per our Government, all seem to be great ideas to legalize now ... what next? Prostitution? Service tax?

The only way to buy cigarettes from an Indian reservation is to physically be there to buy and I would only pay with cash

Absolutely correct. We buy them here on the reservation where my husband works and bring them with us when we visit NJ. DS is going to NJ next week for spring break and he's bringing cigs for his friends. A carton runs about $28-$35, depending on the brand.

The next step will be checkpoints at state crossings, dogs sniffing for cartons of cigarettes...
