I am talking about the village area, as well as the adjacent heights section, which is technically in the perview of Pemberton Township, but is close enough to the intersection of Pemberton Road and 530 to really be lumped in with the boro.
BTW, I am not a big fan of Wrightstown (McGuire) or Lakehurst (NAES) either. However, the surrounding areas I have no issue with. A good alternative for the OP might be Vincentown, if she wishes to be close to her friend in Pemberton. Vincentown is in the Seneca high school district, I believe, which is top notch. So, if raising a family is a priority, you could do worse with regard to school quality, by living there. (Vicentown)

If you're going to be working near Camden, why the hell would you want to live in Pemberton and run 38 or 70 every day?

Exactly, Collingswood would be your best bet.

I'm like, I deal with a lot in Detroit, but thankfully none of that. So I shouldn't have to worry about that too much if I am not actually in Camden or that close to Camden, right? But thank you for reassuring me that Jersey is a cool place to relocate to. We are going to be moving pretty soon.
Thanks again,

His job is right outside of Camden, don't remember the exact city, but thanks for letting me know that Pemberton should be out of our minds. Is the traffic that bad along those two routes? (That's all new to me, in Detroit, we don't have routes, just the freeway). How far is Collingswood from Camden? What about Mt. Laurel? Is that far too?
I'm sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions, this is all new to me. So thank you so much whoever answers

Collingswood is a beautiful town right outside of Camden. It also has a PATCO stop that will take you right into Camden.

Camden is not a concern at all even in Collingswood, which is a good town that has been revitalizing. Really depends what you are looking for. Collingswood is going to have smaller, older homes and apartments which is what you'll find in much of Camden County, simply because it is closer to Philly. Mount Laurel in Burlington County has much newer construction, more open space, and has been the hot growth area in the past 25 years. Much of the activity in that area centers around Moorestown which BTW was rated best place to live in the US by Money in 2005. As I said, you won't regret it, the area is fantastic. No matter which area you choose you'll have the same access to the Patco train line, great shopping, fantastic restaurants, etc. No worries.

Mt Laurel to Camden isn't a bad commute you could pick up 295 to 676. Pemberton to Camden would have sucked 38 and 70 have a ton of stop lights

Mount Laurel to Camden will take 30min MAX - usually shorter depending where exactly you will be working.
Collingswood is probably 10-15min or so to Camden.

Another consideration might be Evesham (Marlton) which is probably equidistant between Pemberton and Camden. There are many condo-apartment complexes just off 70, just past where Medford-Evesboro road crosses, headed towards the circle, where 70 goes from 2 to 4 lanes.
