Your correct. You must work 25 years in order to retain health benefits, but if your under age (was 55, now maybe 62) you get a reduced pension based on your age.

He must have gotten a disability pension if he only had 10 years. In which case yes he get full benefits. Most cops only have to work 20 years and their out regardless of age.

this system is unfair to hardworking people of all income levels in this state.
