Shoulder to shoulder? I don't know about you guys but to me it's more like the Governor is standing waaay too close behind me.

In this case, NJ has one quarterback (Corzine) and about 3 million centers. And Corzine's not in the shotgun formation.

Default that "the NJ prop-tax payer" would be singular, right?

"The governor stands shoulder to shoulder with the New Jersey property-tax payer,"

If we take that statement literally, it means he is standing shoulder to shoulder with the singular, last taxpayer left standing in NJ.
