Default How do schools in Matawan and Toms River rank compared to Northern NJ schools?

My family and I currently live in northern NJ and the schools here are excellent not only in the area but also compared to the nation. How do schools in southern Jersey such as the Matawan or Toms River schools rank? Also anyone that can recommend a family friendly city with really good schools that is affordable in Jersey, that would be great. Thanks.

this request is too vague. comparing matawan/toms river to northern nj such as newark? top notch. compared to millburn? not so much. it would help to know where you are now.

also, what is your definition of affordable and where are you working?

If you want to compare here is the link for the NJ Dept. of Education. This will give you test rankings against the state average.

Toms River is pretty average. I know Pt. Pleasant has a very good school district.
