Google Maps has 1 hour and 13 minutes from Marlton. That's probably more realistic. The basic problem you'll face during the week is single lane traffic each direction for most of the trip and getting behind slow moving vehicles, bikers and/or trucks. On Friday's in the summer be prepared for a tougher commute.

Kings Grant is a great community, it is very large, ranging from single family homes, to townhomes to condos.

The 2 lane stretches of road on Rt 70 could be bad if there's an accident or during rush hour, but I've never had a problem taking it to work. I live near Manahawkin and used to work in Cherry Hill and it wasn't too bad. Granted it was during the fall and winter and I don't know how it would be in the summer, and the 70/73 circle is a nightmare like anyone would tell you but it is definitely doable. I didn't even know about evesboro/medford rd, that would have made things easier for me. I always prefer taking 70 rather than the expressway or the parkway.

I wish there were another interstate road going west from the shore, but I guess they don't want to build something like that through the pine barrens.. There should really be more interstate roads through south jersey in general though.

From Kings Grant you won't have to go through the dreaded 70/73 circle. I would zig-zag over to Rt. 70 to just east of Medford and approach on Branin or Skeet Road. That will keep you out of the heavier traffic on 70 in Marlton and Medford. Personally, I've never been stuck on east 70/72 to Manahawkin because of an accident, but I suppose it happens. I'm sure that there are periodic road maintenance delays.

The alternate route is Route 532 through Tabernacle and Chatsworth to lower 72. If there were a serious problem east of there, you could always take Rt. 539 south toward Tuckerton and Rt. 9 north to Manahawkin but that would be a worst case scenario. Similarly, you could take Rt. 554 east toward Barnegat and drive south on Rt. 9.

Buying county maps and checking satellite photo's of roads are the two thing which have helped me a great deal in learning to navigate the area. Once you get out of town in the Pine Barrens, not all roads are paved; they're not all through roads.

I find it rather ironic that you can be stuck in traffic in Marlton and 20 minutes later be driving through the Pine Barrens.

Most people seem to like Allison Apartments. One person commented online that it was loud. I'd guess that would be a unit by the roads and businesses surrounding the complex. Another person said that their place was not in good shape. The address is 31 N Maple Ave Marlton, NJ. If you look at that on "Live Search Maps" you can get a bird's eye view as well as an aerial. Allison is right off of Rt. 70 (you've already been warned about that) and is in a generally busy area. It would add time to your Manahawkin commute.

I'd never heard of Brookview so I checked online. It looks pretty new. It's a mile of so west of Allison, which is the wrong direction. Brookview Circle Marlton NJ if you want to look at reviews or maps.

Both of those locations are on the north side of Rt. 70. South of Rt. 70 or further east of Rt. 73 would be better.

I couldn't help being amused at the suggestion of Tabernacle or Medford.
There is a term for those areas. "TAX TRAUMA" The school taxes in NJ will
by law never go down. Even if the township doesn't sent a single kid to school.
A500 Research the taxes, not just
the school test scores. In NJ we have "Abbott" districts. Obsolete term but it still means
we pour millions into inner city schools and have very little to show for it.
Please, please come to NJ. We want to escape.
