This whole post is nuts. We have a grown man almost 1/4 of a century old being talked about as if he were a little kid. This little boy nephew has a big boy problem to get himself out of. If he had broken into my place and woke me up and got into a tussle with me, someone would be making funeral arrangements. Let him sit it out in jail and deal with the problem on his own. If you keep mollycoddling this grown man he wont grow up.

im not making it out to be anything. he was wrong i was just merely stating the newspaper does not have facts right. and i was asking about what we were in for. as this has nerver happened in our family. as i said in an post before my husband would have most likely beat the crap out of him.

hey all,im the original poster and i agree with every one of you. he is a good kid just made a mistake. My mom and dad raised him since he was a baby,we are a very close family, they coached his basketball team,he was a good student, never drank or did drugs as a teenager.he was always at my house or i at his since my mom lived there. im not defending his actions in anyway but we all make mistakes. and yes in my eyes he is not a kid. and will most definetly going for some meetings at AA.

You see that is exactly what I'm talking about, way too much mothering and mollycoddling for a person who should be treated as the adult that he is.
I've been living on my own since I was almost 17. If you don't stop treating him as if he was still a little boy he may turn into a basket case type who ends up still living with mommy at the age of 35. I could be wrong but I've seen this happen before. Good luck.

are you suggesting that his family not offer any help whatsoever? i don't care how stupid the mistake; the help and guidance of family is exactly what he needs now.

Well the fact is, he's the only one who can make sure something like this will never happen again.

if he is serious about his career he also needs to spend lots of money on getting his records expunged after 3 years.
