Do yourself and your wallet a favor and listen to the people here. Most of the posters are not rocket scientists/brain surgeons but NJ people do know good pizza. If you open anyplace in Northern/Central NJ you are doomed to fail.

Sounds like a winning business proposition to me!!!!!!!

^that's hilarious. imo, I don't think a papa john's or a Cici's should open up anywhere within a 50 mile radius of NYC. Italians (as well as other immigrants) built that city, but the Italians are certainly the most famous for it. That's why the pizza is so great around here.

I'm down in Williamstown, the town is building up rapidly.
My granddaughter loves CiCi's in North Carolina. I've never eaten there, hubby has.
I don't recall seeing anything like CiCi's down here, maybe you'd like to refocus from Bayonne to down here?

There's a Papa Johns in Jersey City. I'm not sure how long they've been open, but they throw stacks of coupons on my stoop almost every week. What a waste.

Being from Jersey I always use to see the Cici's commercials wanting to try it and when I finally got down to FL I gave it try and wasn't impressed at all...
I think you could do well in NJ because of the prices but just be careful where you open it... I don't know if Bayonne would be a great place.

it's really been awhile since i've had pizza in bayonne, but i always liked pompeii on broadway. my brother's favorite is george's pub and grub on ave e - but warned, it's thin, thin thin! (think bar pie)

Interesting. I just caught up here and it seems by overwhelming opinion, CICIs sucks.
When I was growing up in Avenel, NJ, my Dad owned a Laundramat on Avenel St all through the late 70s and early 80s. Next door was and still is to this very day a Sorentos Pizza. Back then I was a kid of course and loved pizza like every kid does. So I took Dads washing machine keys and took a quarter out and used my own penny to walk next door for a slice. A wash was a quarter. It cost a quarter a slice and a penny tax.
And I walked next door to Sorentos for breakfast lunch and dinner and dozens of snacks in between...each time for another slice. Back then pizza palors sold only pizza, not like today they have full menus of subs, salads and sandwiches etc.
So after we sold the Laundramat I did not eat another slice of pizza for 20 years. Couldn't even look at it. Lately I been seeing all these CICIs all over the place and been thinking of trying it. But Im curious, those who say it sucks, I hope you also agree that Dominos sucks worse. If you cant say that then I cant take your opinons to seriously. Just the meer looks of Dominos turns my stomach.
Whatya think?
