Seton Hall arsonist approved for parole release | APP.com | Asbury Park Press

This makes me physically ill- only 2 years for taking those young lives and to add insult to injury how they dodged the bullet for 7 years before admitting they did it- punks

This is an absolute disgrace. I remember driving by SH the day after this incident. I know I am in the minority, but I really thought these scumbags deserved the death penalty.

it started out as a horseplay/prank that gone wrong, it was trully an accident. Death should only be given to those that mean/premeditate murder. They still wont get off that easy, these two guys will be paying the rest of their lives for thier antics and so they should.

Ugh. This boils my blood.

The 5 year sentences the man was supposed to have, is still FAR too short.

Accident or not, I don't agree with the stupidity of lighting objects on fire in a building where other objects are bound to catch fire (of course, candles, if lit, contained, and watched properly are perfectly fine). They should have thought out their actions more in depth before doing such a stupid thing, and because they didn't, I don't think they need to be let off.

I feel bad for the families/friends of the students that died, as well as the survivors (themselves, and friends/family), though

I can't believe it either, just imagine how the parents feel now of those dead victims.

They were drunk..no excuse but may be why they didn't THINK about what could happen...it's a sad story all the way around. I feel for the victims but this will follow two those men through out their lives

I've gotten pretty drunk before, but it never made me so stupid that I've gone and harmed myself/others. Same applies for my friends.

I guess one way to look at the tragedy, though is that these men will be ostracized from most things.
