Default How to paint a bathroom Vanity to have a Flat look

I have a white Vanity like this one http://www.foremostgroups.com/K&B/as...ity_30inch.jpg and I will like to paint it in black like this one Black vanity image by agnesackneback on Photobucket. I would like to know how to paint it without having the glassy look I want it to have a dry flat paint. Do I have to spray paint? if yes, do I used a regular black paint or it has to be for a wood. Thanks

That white one looks like one of those corrugated cardboard specials you buy in Home Depot bargain dept for about $59. They have a melamine or a thermofoil coating over MDF or particleboard core doors. Call it a vinyl coating for the sake of argument. You can not paint vinyl.

Some will say you can paint it. Some people will do just about anything but that dont make it right. It ain't worth the trouble. The white one is a framed American style and the black one is a euro style framless in quaker or shaker.

If you feel you want to paint it just simply use flat black. I can bet the house that it will not stick no matter how you prep it. I kinda like the flat black a bit. White cabinets are way way out of style.
