Your lies have no bounds. You disparage a classic historic town that is safe and family friendly in that fashion. This is why Collingswood was ranked by Philadelphia Magazine as number one in the region for price growth of homes and property. But keep dreaming of your Ocala, crosses burning in my front yard are not my thing!

This is why Collingswood was ranked by Philadelphia Magazine as number one in the region for price growth of homes and property. Would that be price growth in the historic WW2 3 bedroom one bath brick row homes that make up a good portion of Collingswood, especially along the polluted Cooper River ? Basically much of your "historic" homes aren't even occupied by full time owners but rented out to low income renters by those who don't wish to live in "historic" Collingswood. The only thing historic about Collingswood is the extent of your delusions about this town.....is it possible that you may have been hypnotized lately and not properly removed from the spell ? But keep dreaming of your Ocala, crosses burning in my front yard are not my thing!
Not many burning crosses to be found in front yards in Collingswood to be sure.....how about a few abandoned cars ? Speaking of cars....I wonder how many cars disappear off "safe" Collingswood streets each night only to be found stripped on neighboring streets of Camden the next morning ?

Use transit. You can walk to things in Collingswood.
Then you won't have to worry about abandoned cars.

I live in SC. A lot of people move here from Jersey as well, but not many of them stay
Well, there you go!

I post on the Charlotte forum and while there are some unhappy campers, the vast majority of newcomers seem to have adapted quite well. As for the differences between NC & SC, one native of Charlotte described to me many areas of SC as being "one screen door away from Hell"! I suspect that many New Jerseyans would find the lack of services and dubious schools, too heavy a price to pay for SC's low tax rates. There is "cheap" and there is "too cheap".

It might be fun for SC and NJ to exchange Governors for a year tho'! A Confederate Flag flying next to the State House in Trenton would generate a few new threads! Ya think!

What a person likes is all personal preferences, which change with age.

My best friends parents moved to SC from Colts Neck. They have been here for 5 yrs and are now looking to move because they dont like it.

They are searching for another city. They dont want to go back to jersey, but they are at their boiling point with SC. They checked out the Jacksonville area. When they came back they said "there is more rednecks in Jacksonville than in Charleston". I just laughed

I am only 25, but if I was retiring right now then I would pick the Phoenix metro area

The fact that I follow the Flyers as a team doesn't mean I enjoy the City of Philadelphia. Walk though Philly sometime......its a dirty, filthy city. Even the people who live there can have much pride in their city to allow it to slide into that type of deplorable, trash strewn condition. Is it rich in history, yes......but, what it represents now is kind of sad.
As far as Camden goes....well....its the murder capital of the United States based upon population and the state police had to be brought in to police the city because of so much corruption......for me, the only positive thing about the "metro" area is the Flyers.

I think it's much easier to adjust to the South in general, if you're retired! Working down here is a completely different ballgame. It's funny, friends from Colts Neck convinced me to move here! I'm partial to the Charlotte area because it's large and has things to do. Smaller cities can get "old" quickly, once you've been "there" and done "that". Jacksonville sure isn't Miami tho'! Perhaps Atlanta, or Savannah (for something smaller) might be a suitable alternative.

I hope that "by the time you get to Phoenix", there'll be some water there!
