Default Wildwood NJ - boardwalk?

I was just viewing a thread elsewhere on Tampa...someone asked for great boardwalks in the Tampa area..

People immediately referred to places like Ocean City, MD, Atlantic City NJ...and WILDWOOD, NJ?

I don't see Wildwood on city-data..is that a town or just a name of the area? WHat is that?

Wildwood is a city in Cape May County, NJ. It as well as North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest, create one of the most well-known and most popular destinations along the 127 miles of the Jersey Shore known collectively by some as the Wildwoods. Wildwood is a town that everybody loves, there is something for everyone to do, whether you're single or have a family, young or old, black or white, asian or hispanic, Christian or Jewish, Hindu or Muslim. Everybody knows and loves Wildwood. I am so surprised that you have never heard of Wildwood. But I'm guessing it's not as known down in Florida or wherever you're coming from. Out-of-staters in Pennsylvania, New York, and possibly even Delaware have heard of Wildwood. Are you sure it's not on city-data? Because it is an incorporated city.

Default Wildwood, NJ

Wildwood is a town in NJ that is surrounded by a beautiful beach, fantastic boardwalk and amusement park. It's a very popular summer vacation, especially for Europeans. There are plenty of hotels, condos and homes for rent. It can get a bit crowded so if you don't like crowds, wildwood may not be the vacation spot for you.

Went to Miami last year and stayed at South Beach. Couldn't believe how much the beach(es) there reminded me of NJ, esp Wildwood. Except that Wildood's beaches are way bigger

Come visit and take a look!

BTW, Tahiti, great photos.

I used to go to Wildwood every summer as a kid. I loved it there. Wildwood Crest is the "nicest" of the wildwoods. The boardwalk was big and had a lot to do, and the beach there is huge. Granted I was a kid, but it felt like it took forever to walk from the boardwalk to the water.

we have been going to Wildwood for all our lives. 40 some years. Love it there. Its our second home. We know all the good restaurants and ice cream parlors We used to stay in the crest but recently have been staying at the point in North Wildwod. Beach is much smaller. Easy to get to the water when you have a lot of stuff to lug down.
Wildwood is home to the largest collection of restored 50's style 'Doo Wop" hotels in the world. Heres a couple.
