Default Relocating to Princeton NJ, where to live??

I have lived in DC metro area (Rockville MD) for over 20years and now relocating to Princeton NJ for my job. Can someone recomend a nice place within 15-30 min of Princeton to live? PA is perferred due to lower taxes. thanks.

Look into Yardley PA. It is a great area with some beautiful old houses and beautiful new houses. The school stystem is great, right along the Delaware River, beautiful path along the canal, and a cute town center.

Yardley is more like at least 45 min. to Princeton - you'll have to nevigate several traffic jam hotspots before reaching Princeton. I used to live there and work in Princeton. Also part of it can flood - water can go all the way to second floor. Yes it's cheaper to live there, but it's not going to be 15-30 minutes. Even commute from Hamilton can take you 30 minutes in rush hour. But it is beautiful and better deal than NJ. If you prefer PA just make sure you live on higher ground. Many people live in PA and work in Princeton. Good luck.

Don't go to PA, but go west. Look in Hopewell twp (not the borough) which is a nice town with a bunch of farms, rolling hills and open spaces. You'll get good house for your money especially in the western part of town.

Default Hopewell

If not PA then Hopewell or that immediate area. Beautiful area!! Hopewell actually has a town with a main st. Store fronts out of the 19th century.
rt 518 runs through it. The Sourland Mountains run east/ west and form the north border of the Hopewell valley. Lot of History and mystery there. Also much of the Sourlands is preserved by Somerset, Hunterdon and Mercer county as parkland. Lindberg has an estate on, of course, Lindberg rd. Province Line rd formerly divided East Jersey from West Jersey.

You could also go east towards Plainsboro,Monroe,Cranbury. Do you have school age children? If not, there are many active adult communitites ( First resident must be 55+) near Princeton with reasonably priced homes both for sale or rent.
