Default Warinanco Park, Roselle

I came upon some pics of a Warinanco Park in Roselle and was surprised at how good looking the place is...it even has those blue water-paddle things that probably should be also in some ponds in Cranford.

So, is this park safe to visit? From what i searched, it looks like that area is ok.

Definately check it out. It's very pretty in the spring when everything is in bloom. Very safe place, but then again anything can happen anywhere.

it's a great park. my fathers grandparents used to own the land that the skating rink is on. it's a fun place to go. they really keep the park looking nice. if you go look for dupee woods, that's my family's old land. they have a sign in the park.

I lived in Elizabeth until about 5 years ago and we would be in that park any chance we got. Ive never had any problems there and it IS very nice in the spring. They have a botincal garden with a winding path you can walk through they do a HUGE tulip/flower display near there as well. Tons of fields and places for kids to play or fly a kite or play ball or whatever. On the weekends on nice days there are hundreds of people in the park having fun. Its one of the things I miss most about that area (elizabeth/linden/roselle).

Its a nice park. I love it. I've only had one bad experience at that park as a kid, wrong place at the wrong time i guess. other than that, its a safe place. And the experience i had wasn't anything serious. When i was about 12 years old I would ride my bike around the park for fun. I was riding on the other side of the street from where the ice skating rink is and i went into that little trail that leads to the soccer/baseball fields and out of nowhere some kid probably around 17 years old tried to steal my bike. He grabbed me by my shirt, I got away though and i rode my bike off the trail into the woods to try to turn around and go back towards the ice skating rink and i saw two other guys. I was pedalling as fast as a could and with my luck , I hit a bump and my bike chain popped. So I ran into the street bu t the guys gave me my bike back because one of them claimed to know me. Other than that, Nothing has ever happened to me in that park. Ive been living in this area for 20 years.(since i was born

i think it's a nice park. i use to live in that area of elizabeth (about 3 blocks away) until 5/6 years ago. as a kid i rode my bike all through it, went to the ice rink on the weekends (& took lessons as a little kid). in elementary school we had field day races at the park, where the whole school walked over to warinanco for the day.

you'll see cricket being played on weekends and of course baseball and soccer. i think you'll enjoy it.

Very nice park, I lived close by at one time. A romantic park too, years ago couples would park in there all over the place. You had to leave your parking lights on at dusk if you were sitting in the car with a special someone. I know........

I really enjoy Warrianco park and bike through there often from my house. I grew up across the street in Linden and spent countless hours playing baseball there as a kid. The area has changed quite a bit and newer immigrant groups do dominate the park so some do find that off-putting but noneheless it's a great timeless place as it probably hasn't changed much at all since it was created early last century. The tulip/flower garden is terrific and if you can appreciate our county park system you'll want to visit this one at least once to see what a gem it is. The area itself is not THAT bad and it's not like going to Newark's Branchbrook park which I'm personally wary of. Another county park not too far away that's quite amazing is Bayonne county park. Neither park is situated in a utopian area of our society but they are safe enough to enjoy imo.
