Tea Parties...so is this just an Obama hate group?
I don't really get it.
I get the concept of wanting less taxes...but isn't the mass majority of government money going to large military operations all over the world? I realize all of the wars and military bases and pensions are costly...but these look like the same people who were for it when Bush was for it, but now against it with a change of presidency? I mean they don't directly say they are against the large military operations, but it isn't any secret that the mass majority of federal taxpayer money goes directly to those operations.
Or are these people just against taxes in general? They are against post offices, paved highways, stop signs, police departments, county jails, and whatever else the city and state maintain for us?

What was the message that they wanted to convey at these "tea parties"? Was it a protest about the federal government? Was it a protest about the bailouts? Was it a protest about the Obama administration? Was it a protest about taxes? I've heard many say that this protest was primarily an aimed response to the amount of money that the federal government is spending. That is a good enough reason to protest. Here is my only question. Why did people not get angry over the past 8 years of spending? Did you just suddenly wake up now and get upset? Were you out to lunch? What happenned?

Yeah, that's what I don't get either.

Plus the original poster uses a title that seems to suggest he is a U.S. Marine. When did it become acceptable for U.S. Marines to disrespect the President of the United States? Not to mention their existance is entirely due to taxpayers.

i believe many conservatives were angry with the spending under bush. however, obama has taken it to another level and has introduced more of the idea of government taking over the private sector. obama wishes to destroy the private sector and create a communist dictatorship. bush was just a corrupt wasteful spender. obama is that and a commie.
