Default New Jersey's Tea Parties Will Be Successful.

I've been in-touch with one of the organizers for the Morristown, New Jesey Tea Party and based on internet responses, New Jersey's Tea Parties will be successful. And they are just the start.

"Successful" how? As in having a lot of people show up, or as in the crooked politicians in NJ actually doing anything different based on the Tea Party? I'd agree with the former, but not the latter.

Meantime media covers this like it's some entertainment headline, "leftists and conservatives alike gather at View Park for the Tax Tea party". I'd like to see a real tea party like the Boston tea party when foreign goods were thrown from a ship.

In the end, it's going to simply be entertainment, unfortunately, since the chances of it having any real impact on taxes, etc., are slim to none. Sorry to be the naysayer, but lets get real, folks. The real tea party 200+ years ago had an impact because people were willing to die for what they were protesting against- the people going to these tea parties will slink back into their cubicles tomorrow and do nothing further to fight for their cause.

Which shows quite a bit more effort than college students blowing off a day of classes or paid protesters being compensated for showing up. I think the point is that the people attending these events are NOT rebels - they are pretty regular folk who are simply fed up.

It will matter and make a difference if those who show up today continue to show up.

And if the media can cover 25 people chaining themselves to trees, then why would they not cover thousands showing up across the country? Unless they had something against the message...of course, that would then show media bias. And we all know that is just a myth...

yeah, that's why it's NOT on the front page of New Jersey Local News, Breaking News, Sports & Weather - NJ.com - nice try though! (and other national news websites, but we're talking about NJ).
