What is the point of this thread if the OP won't post budget?

In the absence of that info we're all assuming budget is without limits.

Well, the Op is looking for the best public schools and a family oriented community--I'd guess that most Alpine kids go to private school and boarding school and there's a distinct lack of community feel.

And the OP hasn't bothered to check in or comment on this thread, so this is a debate among ourselves at this point!

New2McKinney is on a distinguished road
First find your towns, Bergen County has some great schools, then go to greatshools.net and type in the town and state. We are also relocating to NJ from Big D. My husband will be working in midtown and needed GREAT Elementary and Middle schools. We've narrowed it down to Upper Saddle River, Allendale, Tenafly and Ridgewood. ;-)

Hey, nice resource, although you mistyped it...

We got trumped by New Providence High School, ranked same as Westfield and Summit, BUT had a significantly lower average class size than any of them

New Jersey schools - Union County high school rankings
