Once again though, Diane, what can be done to help improve Camden? A dozen people on an Internet forum saying "Camden sucks" isn't helping anything at this point. I suppose I'm just sentimental, but I just feel very sad that a once-proud city is being allowed to sit and rot while everyone just says "Oh well! No biggie!" New Jersey is a beautiful state, but when a lot of people here in PA think of Jersey they more often than not think of places like Camden, Newark, Trenton, etc. If you can restore Camden's prominence as a stable, middle-class, forward-thinking city, then it is only gravy that NJ as a whole can ride the coattails to also look better.

There is currently some major investment in Camden. From the luxury apartments on the waterfront to the large investments that Cambell's is making, they are all helping restore Camden.

And who do you think is living in those "luxury apartments"......that would be the drug dealers and pimps that abound in Camden. Aside from a very small area around Rutgers campus theres absolutely nothing worth saving ......Bulldoze the entire city and start over !!!

Do you have any proof of that, or is this another excuse to bash?

Where is this so-called proof on the waterfront? Give it up already.

The picture of the burnt/cooked turkey 6 posts back says it all.....however....what the picture doesn't show is that the turkey was cooked with radiation from one of the radioactive thorium dump sites. Since you seem to be such a supporter of Camden.....why are you telling others to live there while its "transforming" when you choose to live elsewhere......your talking out both sides of your mouth !!!!
