Whether or not it is "worth it" is something that the OP will have to decide, based on their preferences, and the commuting time. Trying to make the decision for the OP by exaggerating or outright lying about the commute time is not helpful.

There are several towns that offer shorter commutes than Wayne and are likely to be a good fit for OP's requirements (e.g. most towns in West Essex, and some of the shorter commutes in Bergen)

You have poor reading comprehension skills. Go re-read what I wrote until it makes sense.

Lost in Lopat is on a distinguished road
The bus from the Rt. 23 transit center takes 30 minutes to the Port Authority in NY. One block over is the subway. C train should take about 20 minutes. Depends also on East or West 111 st. The parking lot at the Wayne transit center is always full, so occasional users can use the mothers park & ride. The trip is minimum one hour, all things perfect...

funny thing is I asked about this before, and I was told that the bus takes much longer than this (45 min to 1hr from Nutley/Clifton) around rush hour. 30 minutes would be about the time on the njtransit schedule, but this doesn't take traffic into account.

30 mins from Wayne sounds about right. And that does take into account traffic.

Do you do this commute on a daily basis, or are you making this up ?

Google maps says 40 minutes, up to 80 minutes in traffic (from Wayne NJ to New York, NY near Lincoln Tunnel)

I've driven into New York, and a 20 minute wait at the tunnels is not unusual at the busy times of day.

From Wayne the bus goes direct into NY, no stops. In the morning there is a dedicated bus lane so the back up at the Lincoln is avoided.
