exactly!

All of N.J. is overpriced, that's why I moved out...Try getting rid of the Governor and most mayors,
senators, congressman, and maybe N.J. would have a chance..

I'm moving to Teaneck in May and the taxes there are one of the worst, but the actual housing prices wern't that bad considering its location.

Moorestown in Burlington County. I recently worked on a house there and granted it was about a million dollar house in a real estate transaction but the owners were selling because their yearly taxes were $26,000. Thats just too expensive.....how much better is their police force, garbage collection or actual geographic location to warrant property values and taxes like that.....its absurd. What fool would chose to throw that much money out the window just for a zip code.

With the high prices you generally get great services, particularly the schools...even the crappy schools are comparable to good schools in some other places. I personally see nothing wrong with Teaneck, but I do prefer northern Bergen (mainly Pascack Valley). And all the towns that Moorestown listed seemed to be rich white towns...I guess you're scared of a little diversity.

I've been to plenty of places but cannot see living anywhere but here in Jersey because of the convenience, especially in Bergen County. Oh and Jersey City has some nice parts but prices are completely outrageous!

Bergen county is sooo over priced. I was shellshocked when I saw what they wanted "for dumps"! LOL...and essex and passaic counties.

Southern areas cheaper...

You do realize Bergen Includes Franklyn Lakes, Wyckoff, Ramsey, Mahwah, Saddle River and Upper Saddle River, Alpine, Demerest and many other beautiful upscale towns that are no where near Patterson or Passiac (Clifton is not an issue to me)

FYI... there are MANY rappers living in Alipine and Upper Saddle River now. So they should not be considered desirable either....

Very true I used to see Little Kim walking around her front yard in Alpine with her HUGE Ankle bracelet when she was on house arrest a few years ago for Perjury. I don't know if she still lives there now.

Makes me chuckle when I read two people trashing a town like "PATTERSON" and they can't even spell it right.
