What NJ town do you feel is "Overpriced"
There may be A LOT of them considering a lot of towns are expensive.
But i just want to see some answers.
I'm moving to Teaneck in May and the taxes there are one of the worst, but the actual housing prices wern't that bad considering its location.

95% of towns in essex and bergen countys, and then most towns in sussex county are way too expensive for how far out of the way they are.

This should read "95% of New Jersey towns are overpriced".

LOL
It would be easier if you asked for a list of NJ towns that aren't overpriced.

I was going to say pretty much ALL NJ towns are overpriced. Save maybe the southern/west portion.
ALL of it because say Bergen County...maybe you can find a better price in Garfield.... but it's overpriced because Garfield is not a great town. Take Essex. yeah, you can get a lower price in Irvington, but it should be HALF of what it IS because it's a hellhole. So it's all overpriced.
You are paying for location-location-location. And in cases of the better town, schools too. Oh, and of course the Police & Teacher pensions and lining politicians pockets.

Overpriced towns most recommended on CD:
::: Drumroll:::::
#5 - Montclair
#4 - Moorestown
#3 - Maplewood
#2 - Hoboken
#1 - Ridgewood
again, I'm not saying these are not nice, convienient towns, but we're talking overpriced and that's JMHO and I'm sticking to it.

haha. in this case all the old houses in clifton and around are also a dump. The age of homes seem to have little-no impact on house prices.
