Safe & Grassy Places to Walk my Dog In Fairview??
Hi, everyone. So, I'm moving to Fulton Ave in Fairview with my Golden Retriever mix in about a week, and I don't know anything really about the area. But, I really need to know of good, SAFE walking places for my dog. Are there any nice parks within walking distance from where I am on Fulton Ave?
My dog is an extremely enthusiastic walker and has always been used to walking loose-leash. Compared to where we are coming from (the Garrett Heights condos in Paterson), Fairview looks to be a more urban place and my dog is definately going to miss the grass. Plus, with busier streets, that means I'll have to walk her on a tighter leash. I need to know of a nice, safe and grass-filled park in Fairview within walking distance where I can take her for that one hour of loose-leash walking she craves. Any ideas?

right down the street from fulton avenue is north hudson park, a.k.a. james j. braddock park. braddock was the boxer portrayed by russell crowe in "cinderella man."
to get to the park, just walk south on fulton until the road ends at woodcliff ave, and you'll see the park right in front of you. it's easily the biggest (167 acres) and nicest park in the area, with a lake, dog runs, trails, ballfields, bike path, and a running track.

I grew up in Fairview(many moons ago) and we usd to call that Hudson County Park. It would be a great place to walk a dog and close by too!
