Captain,

There is a place to talk politics, but I don't think it's in this thread. This thread was created because someone may very well lose their job. While politics may be related to the matter at large, I don't think this is the time to interject it into the discourse of a very real condition dealing with perspective loss of employment. Try putting yourself in Elle's shoes. (I wouldn't want to walk two feet in them right now, to be sure) She probably has a mortgage, and children to support. While I might not agree with her politically, she is a decent, good person. Try to show some compassion for her.

Thanks to housing bubble.

The housing bubble was so bad for so many reasons, you are not kidding.

i find her attitude regarding politics particularly obnoxious. she makes snide remarks hinting that it would be good to kill those who are right wingers. she insults the intelligence of those who disagree with her (and i havent even had much interaction with her). so for most people who disagree with me poltically i would hold my tongue politically and feel bad for their situation, but for her there is some satisfaction here.

Well, considering that the owner of the company is a "Latino" and I'm not (even if I'm married to one) I think that would be a hard sell. LOL
