Default Fence Questions in Bloomfield

So i was planning on putting up a 6' vinyl fence around my yard, around 5' back from the front of my house and it wraps my backyard. I was just told that the fence that is alongside my house cannot be 6', it has to be 4'. Which means i have to have a 4' gate and a few sections that transition to 6' sections. This sucks, has anybody else had this problem and is there anyway around it? I was planning on getting this nice fence and now i have to change it all.

A former neighbor of mine just did this and it worked out well. It looks really nice. They did have it done by a fencing company though.

Did what? applied for the variance or had a 4 foot fence meet up with a 6 footer?

Somehow this doesn't make sense.......whats the "prupose" of the 4' sections ? What if you had a pool......that requires 6' fence......you'd never be able comply with the code if you had 4' sections ?
