Questions about Marlton, NJ (rentals, condos, townhouses)

Hello Everyone,

My fiance and I are cosidering relocation to Marlton, NJ. My fiance's office might be relocating from Brick, NJ to Cherry Hill, NJ. So could someone tell me the commute time from Marlton to Cherry Hill? In addition, I've been looking at townhome communities in Marlton. I've seem things for as little as $189,000 for a three or four bedroom two bath home. Does anyone have any input on the townhome communities in Marlton?

Marlton is a very desirable area with tons of shopping, great restaurants and good schools. Commute to Cherry Hill is easy. The area is a bit congested, that's the only drawback. Just to clarify, just about anything below $300K in Marlton is going to be a condo or townhome, there are a ton, from newer to 35 years old. You can probably find some very decent 2 or 3 bedroom townhomes in the $200s. There are also estates around $3 million. Taxes are petty high as well. Check out Kings Grant, nice community of condos, townhomes and single family.

Marlton, Evesham township is a very nice area. It's next to Cherry Hill and while rush hour traffic can be quite heavy, you wouldn't be traveling very far.

I would be a little wary of a four bedroom townhome under under $200 in this area, prices remain high. Perhaps it is a motivated seller, or maybe an older unit or near a busy highway.

Kings Grant is a lovely community; I rented two townhomes there before buying in the area. While a bit frustrating at the time, there are few rentals there because most people own, it's a strong community because most residents own their own home. Forest Glen across the road is a newer townhouse group. The nearby Bartons Run, nice housing development, has older townhomes with small kitchens, metal framed windows, not very nice though I've only been in two so I'm not sue about all of them.

I've also looked at a couple of places off of Lincoln Drive East, not sure of the community name. Some of the buildings back up to woods or have generous back yards, but others have very small yards or are just across the road from a busy shopping center.

That's all that I know. Many homes, townhomes have been built in the area since I've looked for housing.

Agree with the above posters. Commute time won't be bad to Cherry Hill. King's Grant is a nice section of Marlton.

I would also check out some townhomes in Mount Laurel which is the township directly north of Evesham/Marlton and just as convenient to Cherry Hill. There are some decent homes in 200k range right now.

If you are looking for an easy commute to CHerry HIll - you'll have lots of choices. Cherry Hill itself has lots of variety - we have 2 high schools and zip codes. We have townhouses and singles in all price ranges. cherry Hill is known for its great schools - but we also have easy access to shopping and transportation, easy trip to Phila for an evening, easy day trip to the shore or to NY. Parts of Marlton or Voorhees can be across the street from Cherry HIll - and parts can be 30 min commute - depends on the areas. Kings Grant is a bit further out - but you can reach the Cherry HIll border in about 15 minutes. Voorhees is another town that borders Cherry HIll- and it has similar housing stock to CHerry HIll. MT Laurel has lots of condos - as well as some younger homes. So - we can measure the commute time depending on what part of cherry Hill the office is in. South Jersey has a lot to offer - let me know if you need any more guidance
