Default Our experience with Ryan Homes in Florence, NJ

We are building in The Manors At Crossroads - our experience thus far has been absolutely great. The Sales consultant (now moved to another location)is the most accommodating, patient, and polite person I have ever met. The project manager is very professional, polite, and understanding. We could not have asked for a better builder.

They have accommodated all of our requests and are building us a great home. We can’t wait to move in.

Highly recommend Ryan Homes

Its funny that you say that. There are several negative comments about builders but very few when things go right. So when there are positive experiences, people should share them. I think if you go to Florence and ask other homeowners about their building experiences, most will be positive.

One of my best friend's husband's is an appraiser and he said Ryan Homes are big problems!! This is in NY state though. They found a ton of problems and defects when they were built by the builders. SHotty work!!

Just from what I have heard...they had a ton of complaints against them!

That is exactly my point - you don't hear the good experiences. We researched several builders for six months, talked with many Ryan homeowners in central and South NJ, and most of the people had nice things to say. They are happy with their homes.

If Ryan homes was as bad as you say then why would they stay in business?

My previous experience with another builder was the worst (I think it depends on the project manager).

I bought a "budget" model home from Ryan. It's my first house.

My house is 3 weeks from completion and the project manager is the reason I am happy right now. The sales consultant made a couple of mistakes (one was transposing a dollar amount and the other was the color scheme) and forgot about my pre-construction meeting. He showed up 45 minutes late. The project manager has been awesome though. He returns phone calls and answers all my stupid questions. My house is on track to be completed 2 weeks before the predicted closing date. My house is simple and most of it is constructed off-site so it's hard to screw stuff up. I walked through it a few times and the framing seems to be well put together. They use construction adhesive and ring nails on the sub-flooring which was important to me. I'd prefer screws but... There were a lot of features I didn't even know about. Like the doorbell, smoke/CO detectors in every room that all are wired together, and the drain pan for the washing machine in the upstairs laundry room. I was worried about a washing machine failure flooding the house but there is a drain going to the basement which I can route to the sump pump. They used PEX tubing for the water lines which is great from the reading I've done. They also used exterior grade OSB for the floors, roof, and walls which is important when you get rain during construction. The painter did screw up when he was painting my shutters but I actually like the color better.

I did notice some damage to the garage door and to the trim above it but I'm not worried about them not fixing it.

So far, I'm very happy. I spoke to two other people in the same neighborhood with the same house and both of them are very pleased with their house and the after delivery service.

Default bad experience

our experience has been bad. Sales is like "used car salesman"

so glad that there are small claims courts.

Default expierence with Ryan Homes in florence N.J.

Servel months have past and I was wondering if you were still satified with the quality of work Ryan Homes has provided. have you moved in yet? Do you have children attending the local schools. We are considering that homesite but noticed that Ryan's "Manor at Crossroads" property is much more expensive then Ryan's "Country Roads" property 4 miles down the road.
