Does anyone here do this commute? Just wondering if anyone had any feedback on taking the NJ Transit 133 from the ShopRite on the intersection of Lloyd Road and Route 34.

Is the bus generally very crowded in the morning and afternoon? Does it get caught in much traffic going up Lloyd Road onto the Parkway? Does it generally run at least somewhat close to the timetables posted on the Website?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts anyone might have.

Rather than start a new thread, figured I'd bump. Looking to move to Strathmore and was hoping to find out more about the commute. Thanks for the help!

Default 133 Bus / Aberdeen

I have been taking the 133 bus in town for a little over a year. There are various stops for it along Rt. 34 and Lloyd Road. If you want to park in either the Stratmore Lanes (on Route 34) of Shop Rite (Lloyd Road) park and rides you will need to apply for a permit. I have heard from others they ticket and tow periodically so don't even try unless you want to come back some night and your car is gone!

A lot of people move to Strathmore because of the convenience of the bus. I am one of them and live in the I section. Its a very dependable way to get into NYC and home during rush hours but and off hours there is limited service. There is no weekend service.

My biggest gripe has to be with the riders, some have been taking this line forever and feel entitled to hog up 2 seats for themselves. Since this area has grown and ridership is up.
