Hello friends, I am looking for vacation destination for May 25th weekend. I wanted to go some place where i can do some funfilled or adventurous activities. I live near to Newark and ready to do 4-5 hours drive and planning to spend two nights. I thought of going Cape May or Rhode island but seems temperature will not be really good for these places? is it so? Can someone please advise me some good places in NJ/NY/PA/CT ? It will be highly appreciable.

How about
Baltimore Inner Harbor
Washington DC
Mystic Seaport CT
Boston MA
Plus for most you can take the train rather than dealing with traffic

One trip I am hoping to do is Mohonk NY. Has hiking, lake activities, etc... You can stay in New Platz to save money over staying at Mohonk if that is above your budget cause it ain't cheap.

I only suggest that cause I REALLY want to go up there soon.

Cape May would definitely be a good place to travel to around May 25th, I'm sure the weather will be very nice by that time. However I'm sure it is much closer than 4-5 hours to drive to from Newark. You could also go to Atlantic City and book a room at one of the casinos.

The Berkshires in MA might be fun--visit Mass Moca, the big art museum, which has lots of events. I also saw an ad somewhere about zip lining in the Berkshires, which is quite an adventure. It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Newark.
