Red face Relocate with large family

Hello everyone,

I'm pretty new to this city-data forum stuff so please bear with me. I'm looking to relocate my family of four daughters with hubby to NJ. My problem is I don't know NJ like that. I'm a legal assistant at a law firm and my hubby is a bus operator for NYC. We need some help with information on where to start. We are looking to rent with option to buy if possible. We need at least three-four bedrooms and two baths house and nice size yard. Also, if possible a basement. So, can anyone help me out with this small problem.

Thank you,

Hi and welcome to the site. (And welcome to New Jersey) It would be helpful to know what areas you are considering, and what your price range is. Also, what ameneties are important to you. It seems that hubby will be commuting to NYC, will he be driving? taking the train? the bus? and where will you be working? Also when will you need to move? Some sellers are renting their homes out with incentives to purchase. You can DM me for more info.

There is a lot of very expensive areas in NJ, but there are also some areas that have not caught up in the high price real estate market or taxes and one of those counties is Sussex. This is a beautiful country, great place to bring your children up in; my husband used to take the bus into NYC for his job. Sussex Cty has its share of law firms and so does Morristown. Take a moment to check out Realtor.comNJ and type in Find A Home and then either type in the MLS#2654828 or 543 Kemah Lake Road Branchville NJ -- Branchville is a quaint town with blue ribbon schools, the beauty of this area is a blessing everyday; people are lovely. Good luck with where ever you decide. Oh, if you do decide to call the Exit realtor, ask for Donna and let her know that you found out about this house from the owner so we can better negotiate a price!
Thanks for coming on here and spaming your house on every thread. Very helpful.
