Are there any nice places for Brunch in the Union area? It's Mother's Day tomorrow so I thought that would be nice. Know of any Mother's Day specials?

Thanks!

I used to love the brunch The Office in Ridgewood did, but, sadly, they discontinued it there a few years ago. It was great. It was like $13.95, and they had pasta, carving and omlette stations, salads, desserts, and unlimited coffee and orange juice.

The Office in Montclair still does it though (I will get there one day), so maybe Cranford still does it too.

UPDATE: Office locations in Bridgewater, Craonford, Montclair, Ridgewood, and Summit are all doing brunch for Mother's Day tomorrow. $18.95 for adults, $7.95 for kids. (Wow, that's a bit of a price increase from $13.95 three or four years ago!) Still a good deal if it's like the brunch I remember from Ridgewood!

Default The Office

I just called for Cranford and they are full. I got a reservation in Summit.

Can anyone tell me what the food is like?

Here's specifically what I remember from Ridgewood a few years ago:

They have carving stations, usually two or three items: prime rib, turkey, and/or ham are the usual choices.

A small pasta station, with penne and I think bow ties, marinara sauce, and and awesome garlic herb butter.

An omlette station, with omlettes made to order, and additions like cheese, ham, veggies, etc.

A waffle station, with waffles made to order. Fruit toppings and fresh whipped cream too!

Five or six hot dishes, usually with at least one meat and one fish/seafood dish.

A few cold salad dishes. (Don't remember specifics on this.)

Bagels/rolls with butter, jelly and cream cheese.

Desserts, including cakes like carrot cake, cookies, and rice and/or chocolate puddings. (I think they had chocolate mousse too.)

Unlimited orange juice and coffee.

It really is a good deal, even at $18.95. Hopefully you'll enjoy it!

Thanks! That's a pretty detailed list. Sounds very good.
I don't go to restaurants much so this will be a first for brunch.

Yes, I think the price is good considering it includes everything and it isn't just any Sunday.

Thanks again!

Just curious, how did you and your family like the brunch?
