Shhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Don't tell anyone else about RiaMar, it's crowded enough. Tony DeCaneca is also very good, one of the top 5 in Newark. Never heard of Spanish Riviera. Where is it in Sayerville?

I love Ria Mar Had my wedding there when they first opened way back in the day.
they have the best food there! I use to go to the portugees fisherman but i have not been there in a while. the soup for lent is the best.

I never really cared for the Portuguese Fisherman but I did like the Rio Mar. I liked just about every Portuguese restaurant down neck (that's Newark for the out of towners).

I can't talk casual dining without saying RIP to the Southern House in Pt Pleasant Beach. They served the BEST ribs in the mid-Atlantic area. Unfortunately, the place burned to the ground and has yet to rebuild.

The Portuguese Fisherman supposedly has new owners. I haven't been there in a few years (I don't like to share my dinner with critters). We met people while having lunch at Ria Mar a few weeks ago and they say The Fisherman has been cleaned up and the food is very good. We are going to give it a try in the next few weeks. I'll fill you in.
