There is another Arthur's in Morris Plains not mentioned above which is excellent for good food at a good price (3 of 3). For Italian food we only like E&V's in the Totowa section of Paterson, they have the best seafood salad. For hot dogs and hamburgers all the way, I only like The New Corrals in Clifton, been going there for 54 years and the receipe has not changed! Would like to know of a food place with a good salad bar with healthy food to include spinach leaves, sprouts and seaweed.

For Portuguese I love Solar do Minho in Belleville. The best sangria in all of North Jersey...period.
Italian would have to be Leo's in Hoboken (2nd & Grand) or Rita & Joe's in Jersey City...right under the Pulaski Skyway.
Pizza is a tie between Algeri's in Belleville and Pizzaland in North Arlington.
Best diner is another tie. North Arlington Diner, and the Tic-Toc on Route 3.

Amen to whoever said Mastori's Diner in Bordentown... they have the best cinnamon buns in the world.
Best Latin Food: Nova Terra, New Brunswick (they also have salsa dancing on Thursday nights!)
Best Martinis: Clydz, New Brunswick
Best Pancakes: Country Pancake House, Ridgewood
Best Middle Eastern Food: Rose's Place, Fair Lawn... although it's easier if you bring an Arabic speaker

Surf Taco has a few locations at the Jersey Shore (Jackson, Belmar, Toms River, Manasquan, Point Pleasant). The food is reasonably priced and fresh. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff is friendly.

Mastoris has "GREAT" prime rib (Mastoris cut). Clydz does have great martinis. We ate there not long ago and while the food was good we didn't care for the small portions and the artsy fartsy presentation.

George's Restaurant in Mount Holly. It's so old and beat-up that the sign in front is almost completely faded out. It's in a run-down neighborhood, too. But the food is to die for. Try a whole Cheesesteak Hoagie. It's as long as your arm, has at least two whole sliced Jersey tomatoes in addition to all the onions and peppers and other stuff, and you can get iced Take-A-Boost, a local soft drink loaded with caffeine and very very delicious...ay, mama mia!
