i took my old man to stage left for his birthday. it was just overpriced food with fancy words on the menu. the meal was fine but not worth the price.

Agree with DodgeViper, New Brunswick has one of the best collections of restaurants in the state. There are also Japanese, Ethiopian, Creole, Middle Eastern and other ethnic options as well as as great bars. Just pick a budget and style.

The Frog and the Peach is great and Clydz martinis are the best. Try the Old Bay for southern/Cajun style food and good drink specials. I also love Evelyn's on Easton Ave for some good Lebanese food... they've got a nice outdoor patio in the summer.

SO sad that Nova Terra on Albany Street is closed down... that was my favorite

Harvest Moon Brewery has very good food and beer! - reasonably priced too. The Old Bay also has excellent cajun food.

You got that right. They are smart putting the desserts on the first few pages of the menu. By the time you get to the food section you are already contemplating the dessert you are going to order!
