Metropark shuttle from Woodbridge to Metropark
Hi All,
I was looking for commute options from the Edison/Iselin/Woodbridge area to downtown manhattan and have so far seen and liked apartments only in the Woodbridge area. I looked at the shuttle bus schedule from two apartment communities in Woodbridge and it mentions that the last shuttle in the morning leaving the Woodbridge area to Metropark is arnd 9a.m and the last one to leave Metropark to Woodbridge is 9.p.m. Can anyone verify this info please? Any added info would be useful too!
Thanks!!

The apartment communities manage those shuttles, so they'll be your best source of info. If you don't trust the internet, call the complex.

Thanks BobKovacs. I did call the apartment community and visited a few too. I was just curious about the traffic between say, 7.30 AM and 8.30 AM driving to Metropark. That is another option that we are exploring. Unless the traffic is bumper to bumper at these times, parking at Metropark and taking the train works best. Any inputs anyone?
Thanks!

Takes about 15-20 min to drive to Metropark from Edison in the morning and thats with rt1 construction traffic. Much less if you can skip rt1.

Much depends on where in Edison/Iselin/Woodbridge you're starting from, but in general, it shouldn't be terribly painful to drive to the station. There's never been a shortage of parking in all the times I used Metropark- in fact, the only time they even had cars in the surface lot was when it snowed and there was an over-abundance of folks taking the train into NYC, and even then finding parking was no problem.

Thanks BobKovacs. Do you think the area around center dr plaza in Woodbridge is a good place to live in to drive to Metropark? I know I say thanks everytime and ask yet another question, but I just want help in making a concrete decison!

If your talking Woodbridge Center Drive (Across from the mall), then you make a left out of your complex. Go about 2 miles till you cant go no more, make another left and your at the station.

There are some apartments in Gill Lane near Metropark..walking distance to metropark
margate co-ops near menlo mall. people buy these co-ops and rent them..this is right behind target in menlo mall. 2 miles to metropark and takes not more than 10 min to metropark.
menlo park apartments. this is again behind margate co-ops..there is bus in front of these apartments and takes 15 min to metro park. i do not like these apartments.
there are other decent apartments near menlo park station
(meadow brook rd and N evergreen rd).
(meadow brood rd and parsonage rd)
plenty of "indian spicy masala" apartments on oak tree rd as well :-) That is all you smell in all the apartments on oak tree rd.
