Default Relocating to freehold...help

Hello, I am looking to relocate from LI, NY to Freehold township area. The prices are great right now for nice homes. Comparing from years ago, would anyone say the area remains still nice, safe, family oriented and clean? OR...would you differ in oppinion now? I have a three year old son and really need some advice because I am so nervous! Thank you.

Freehold Township is a pretty good place for you and your kid. Freehold Boro isnt the greatest. This is the section from Route 33 and north, to the east of route 9. Its goes east for about a mile. Other parts of Freehold are just fine.

Hey thank you for getting back to me...it's so difficult trying to find a new home when you have never really been educated on the entire place before! I will definitley take a look at the township area. Have a great evening.

I know you have a ways to go before your 3 year old goes to high school, but just be aware that a certain portion of Freehold Township attends the Boro High School. For elementary though, your kids would go to Township elementary if you live in the township. I grew up in East Freehold and went to the Boro and I loved it, but if you want to avoid that, then you should look in West Freehold. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions about the area.
You can also get a nice home in Howell which borders Freehold to the south. Just be sure to find out the water bill before committing to a home in Howell.

Another thing to keep in the back of your mind is that the Freehold HS District might be re-districting soon so kids go to a closer high school and not necessarily the one in the town you live in. As Jillian said, the Howell area on the Freehold border is very nice and I am moving there shortly. There are talks that kids from this area would go to either Colts Neck HS or Freehold Township HS which are much closer than Howell.

Also, no issues with the water bill here as it's well and septic
