Default Browns mills/wrightstown/ Cookstown

We live in Ocean County and we are in the market for a house. Seems like the only houses within our budget in monmouth or ocean counties are shacks or faller downers. I saw some really nice houses in Browns Mills, Wrightstown and Cookstown. All of these towns dont get very high opinions on this forum. Is there anyone on these boards that actually live in any of these towns? I drove through them and didnt really see anything bad.
