The Newark style hot dog stand on Rt. 1 North right before Menlo Park Mall. It was literally a shack but it had THE best hot dogs!!

I miss Jamesway--on the same par as Bradlees or Caldor, but I don't remember the store that I went to (South Brunswick) as particularly busy.

I was supposed to see Taylor Dayne at Club Bene, I'm going back to 1993-ish, but didn't have the chance to go. Oh well.

Chi-Chi's!! The best chimichangas (I know I mis-spelled that)! Used to go there Sunday nights after work and spend hours there!

My mom got rainchecks one too many times.
I never cared for either store, I like Target a lot more!

I remember going to Uncle Miltie's once or twice as a child, I could have sworn it was in Bayone, but I was very young, so I'm not sure. That was going to be on my list too! As for Havemyers, couldn't agree w/ you more. LOVED that place! Grandma used to walk there w/ us all the time.

In addition to those I've already agreed with above... I also miss....

The "old" Journal Square in Jersey City. When it was so nice and had quality stores, not junk store central. And the beautiful Lowes and Stanley theaters. Lord's Children's Store where Mom would buy all my "special" dresses and Girl Scout Gear.

I miss Archers and The Harbor House in Ft. Lee and the Palisadium Restaurant when it was "THE PALISADIUM RESTAURNANT" in Cliffside Park.

I miss Meyers and Soel's Ice Cream Parlors on Central Ave in Jersey City.

When Fountain Spring Lake in Ringwood was open to the Public, we had so much fun there!

I miss Arcadian Gardens in Garden State Plaza back when it was an outdoor mall. We'd get those little Dutch shoes w/ tulips in there every year.

I miss Bamberger's being Bamberger's and not Macy's.

I miss Jule's restaurant in Jersey City.

I miss when Bergenline Avenue had REALLY nice stores... like El Bambi (not the same, I know it's still open), Pestana's Children, Marisol's, Melrose, etc....

I miss Gingerbread Castle in Newton - I think.
