Closed places that I miss.
Haha I just felt like making this list. Feel free to add on if you want.
Chippery in Fanwood
Saturday Night Matinee in B-Water Commons
Route 18 Flea Market
Forget the name of it but it was a vintage clothing/toy store in downtown Somerville next to Alfonso's.
My Favorite Muffin in I think it was Livingston mall.
Mrs. Fields pretty much anywhere.
The old arcade in East Brunswick square mall. Used to rock the Double Dragon machine haha!
Dracula's Castle in Wildwood.
Bennigans, Steak and Ale, and Sizzlers. Used to go to all three in the Menlo Park area.
Captains Table in Wildwood.
It's not exactly closed all together but the majority are Easy Video.
Just saw that Amazing Hot Dog in Bound Brook went under :-(
Middlesex Mall haha.
I'm not sure what town it was in but Tice Farms. They had awesome apple cider!

I used to shop there a lot with my mom as a kid.. I passed an abandoned one in Toms River and didn't really realize they went out of business..
What is up with Toms River anyway? For such a safe, nice, and populated town, there sure are a lot of abandoned buildings, buildings/complexes that have been sitting there untouched for at least 15-20 years.. Are there other towns in NJ that bad? Not counting the crime ridden cities and ghettos of course.

When we were back in New Jersey over the late summer I was pretty surprised to hear that the Route 18 market was closing. I think it was slated to close around October of last year.
Route 1 Flea Market though...that was a hangout. The xxx rated video section in the corner past the hanging beads, the roasted peanuts outside, and that voiceover on the PA...
"Located in the back of the store..."
"MEEESTER PILLOW!!!!"

I miss the Hornet's Nest in East Hanover, the Afton in Florham Park, and the Harbor in Parsippany. I'm only naming restaurants. That can't be good.
