I'm new to the forum. We currently live in a small starter in New Providence and are ready to move to a larger home (probably a 3bd, 2bath split style). The taxes in NP for a home that size are generally close to 11k. When looking at the MLS in Florham Park, Whippany, Warren, it seems like you can a really nice home for close to 600k with taxes under 8k. We REALLY love NP but want to make a smart choice financially since we will be in this new house a long time! We plan on having children in a few years.
Please recommend neighboring towns that are just as quaint with a similar school system and a good commute to Newark.
