Default white shuttle vans from NJ to NYC??

We moved out of the city this weekend to Jersey. My husband is working in Paterson and dropped me at the train station so I could get the train into the city. I saw a bunch of these white shuttle type things that said Paterson/New York City on them. I tried searching for it online, but haven't found anything...as far as I can tell they are not NJ Transit. Does anyone know anything about these? Are there a reliable way to get into the city? How much does it cost?

I grabbed a couple from Union City. They seem to stop ot NJT stops and grab people. from UC it was $2. They run to a set area in Port Authority.

Those vans run from paterson to nyc via Rt. 4 and the George Washington Bridge. They drop you off at 179th st. terminal. They are reliable but probably would not be your best commute if you are going into manhattan during regular work hours because they sit in traffic, unlike the train. When I rode them (seven years ago or so), the ride from paterson to nyc cost $4.00. It's probably gone up by now, though.

That is the service along Broadway.

There is also servie along Main St., going from Paterson, Clifton, Passaic ( via Main) and on to Union City and Finally the PA, ( via Rt. 3 ).

The price is $4.50.

The dollar vars are convient, but they can be often crowed and some of the drivers drive like total crap. Though, they are usually fast, and if traffic is good, one can be in Midtown in about a half hour.

The ones I take, once in union city, go straight on to the tunnel to PA, not onto route 3.

The ones I take do not go on route 3 after union city or before union city. They go on different roads. Maybe I'm just imagining it though, maybe I'm asleep and dreaming every morning. Maybe it's just a different bus than the one you are referring to???

There's the paterson-nyc (as silk said rt.3 or rt.4) dollar vans and then there's the nyc-blvd east dollar van. There's also the newport/journal square-bergenline-anderson ave-nyc via GWB dollar van.

It used to be nice to chill on the bus and watch a movie while I was driven to my destination.
