When are you going to realize that you don't represent the majority on here.....and going to AC to throw some coins at the slot machines hardly justifies the taxes in this state.....in fact......the new AC was created to help reduce taxes.....look how successful thats been !!!

Default Reason to Sell

I've lived here 17 years. It is mainly to terrible government in this town. It is ruled by the town clerk. What happened to the mayor? He couldn't take it either.

Second reason is taxes and services. No services and taxes are too high.

Third, the economy.

I will be looking to leave real soon.

It is very hard to make a blanket statement like that considering not all counties in New Jersey pay the same property taxes. The top 5 counties in the US with the highest property taxes are:

1) Passaic County, NJ
2) Union County, NJ
3) Essex County, NJ
4) Nassau County, NY
5) Weschester County, NY

For example, FlyerFan's county, Burlington County is not even in the top 25 most taxed counties in the USA.

Actually I would say that you, FlyersFan, do not represent the majority here. There are plenty of people who post here who are not "financially choked" and are making a fine living and having a good life here in NJ. I would caution you to speak only for yourself and quit the dramatic sweeping generalizations.

I will chime in on here. I have lived all over the country and just spent a few years in Dallas TX area. NJ is hands down my preference. Family plays into that a lot no doubt but I like the location and nearby options of cities like Philly, NYC, Baltimore, Atlantic City, etc... NJ seems to just be laid out and offer things that matter to me such as great Italian food options, etc...

TX was good in some respects (cheap houses, no state income tax) but failed in many areas that I hated. (suburbian sprawl, driving, traffic, bad food, diversity)

I moved back to NJ and plan to stay here for awhile. Is it perfect? Nope. Is anywhere perfect? No. I would consider maybe SF as a future location I would like to live but the COL there is worse than here.

I also feel sad for all the people that live in NJ and come to NJ forums and ***** and complain about how horrible this state is yet don't follow through and move. If you hate it here get out! If you don't want to pay the high property taxes then leave. Why not do something about your own life versus come complain on a forum about how bad NJ is?

Its not hard at all because its a fact......additionally.....you only listed 5 counties.....its my understanding that New Jersey actually has 13 of the top 20 counties for heaviest tax burden ?

Since I don't see anyone else posting to refute that I would offer that one person (you) hardly represents a majority ?

One only has to stick around this forum for a while and read the regular posters to see how most are faring. You are overly dramatic.
