Smile Buying in Ridgefield Park NJ

I am considering buying my first home is Ridgefield Park. I've been doing some research and found that the houses have really gone down in pricing in that area. Does anyone knows anything about Ridgefield Park? Is it a good place to buy as a starter home? What is the neighborhood like? I have a daughter that will start kindergarden this year and heard that the schools ( Elementary and Middle schools ) are pretty good. What is the difference btwn Ridgefield and Ridgefield Park?

Thanks for all the Help
