For subs/cheesesteaks I would say Gaetanos in South Jersey. Buy a large cheesesteak, i dare you try to eat it in one sitting!
Pizza - Mac and Mancos for sure.
Mexican- El Azteca in Mount Laurel
Fast Food - Chicken Holiday, also in Mount Laurel. Best fried chicken I have ever had.
As for BEST ALL AROUND food, nothing touches Mastoris Diner in Bordentown. I don't think any other place in Jersey has a bigger menu then Mastoris!

Bagels- Hot Bagels in Fair Lawn
Mexican- Not into it. For a different ethnic cuisine I'd like to substitute German and say Fritzy's in Howell.
Pizza- Vincents in Cliffside Park and Pizza Garden in Fairview
Steakhouse- Steve's sizzling Steakhouse in Carlstat.
Ice Cream- Mrs Walkers in Toms River
Chinese- Fun Lum Funhouse in Fort Lee
Seafood- The Crabs Claw in Lavalett
Deli / Sub- Driftwood deli in Toms River (Yes it's still open NJ Kate)
Bakery- Rispoi's in Brick
Burgers- Hirams in Fort Lee
Bread- Valente in Fairview (Yeah, I know bread was not on the list )

Is this the one on 206 right where some highways merge? If so, my parents discovered that place when looking for "Cheap Gas" and have been back several times since. It was good.

I've never been to a diner with such an extensive menu. And the bread they serve...delicious!
It definitely is one of the best diners in NJ.
