Smile NJT Bus 163 from Ridgewood

I am considering purchasing a home in Ridgewood that is near the Paramus Rd and E. Ridgewood Avenue stop of the 163 NJT bus line. Will I be able to get a seat at that stop? Any other information or suggestions would be appreciated. I would rather not purchase another car to go to the park and rides but its an option. Thanks.

I don't think you should have a problem getting a seat on that bus. I took that bus sometimes at the Paramus Road/Midland Ave stop and never had a problem getting a seat.

I have never taken that route, but I would suggest you try it out yourself if you live close by. Also, you might have to get an early bus to reach NYC in decent time from what I know.

My mother in law used to take that bus once in a while, and i don't think that getting a seat for her was ever a problem. she usually took the private bus (academy i think?) from the park & ride since it's much faster.

i agree that you should try the commute yourself before buying a home.
